8/20/05One of Paws volunteers was helping prepare for the national Candlelight Vigil held at the shelter in Texas City 8/20/05 at 7 pm. A man came in holding this gorgeous Flame Point Himalayan male weighs about 12 lbs.Neutered and declawed. Beautiful Crystal Blue eyes. His name is Leo and is about 3 yrs old and has been in his home for all that time. Owner's wife told him to get rid of the cat because he might suffocate her new baby. The man was in tears and our volunteer felt for him. Well Leo is now in Paws Rescue and will be available this Sunday for adoption. We will get him Combo tested just to make sure he is healthy and get him up to date on vaccinations. He favorite toys are soft squishy balls. Eats Iams cat food and loves Whiska Lickin Shrimp and Tuna treats. Leo loves to play fetch and will chase his toys. Not a snuggle bug but loves to be in the vicinity, and especially on the bathtub edge when humans take a bath. Loves fresh water, been raised with a cat fountain for drinking water.loves to be petted on his neck and ears, not crazy about having his tummy rubbed. Was around other cats and a dog but would prefer to be only cat or more if they are friendly. Will sometimes love bite when playing when excited. If he gets too rough just say "No " or "Ouch" and he stops. Never around children so recommend an adult home. Come out to see this Gorgeous Guy!
