These two kitties are special needs girls.Lady, has a mild heart murmur,which doesn't require any thing but a quiet home with lots of love.Our vet ,just rechecked her today and says she has alot of good years left.She absolutely loves CIDER, thats why we're trying sooooooo hard to keep them together. Cider is a very sweet female, about 1-1/2 yrs old. She is a Brown Tabby, short haired and does well with other cats and dogs. Cider was hit by a car and was rushed to an emergency hospital. Cider was supposed to have been spayed by another vet office working with another rescue group, but said an ovary was dislodged somewhere in her abdomin.So for a year has been going into heat when around male,even neutered males.Well today 3/21/03 our wonderful vet decided to try to find that ovary.He did , it was right there,along with several fingers on the other one. so she will not go into heat ever again.Cider came through her surgery just fine. When she had been hit by the car,she had several seizures and almost died. She is super sweet, very shy and nervous at first. Her head will always lean to the side due to the seizures. It throws off her equilibrium a bit and she is sensitive to touch. She cannot control her claws and sometimes they get stuck in rugs, etc.. It takes time for her to trust your touch but once she does she is a sweet lap kitty. Cider and Lady (cagemates-Lady is the darker tabby shown below) are really good buddies and we will consider discount adoption in order to keep them together. Lady is a classic swirl tabby, she is 1-1/2 yrs old. She was rescued from the shelter at 6 weeks old. It was discovered that she had a heart murmur so was over 6 months old before she was spayed. She doesn't need any special care, and the vet says her heart is strong. She doesn't like to be carried around, but loves to sleep with you at night. Gets along well with other foster cats but loves Cider (brown tabby also showing for adoption).
