Stairway To Heaven by Jim WarrenThe Rainbow Bridge
by Paul C. Dahm

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy  and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver.

Suddenly, he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend  finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Figaro
Figaro was a beautiful black and white Tuxedo Male who was only 5 years 7 months old. Figaro had the majority of his teeth removed due to chronic stomatitus (an immune mediated disease usually activated by stress). He was lucky to be adopted as a kitten but unlucky to be returned 2-1/2 years later at Christmas because his owner’s new spouse was allergic. Unfortunately Figaro spent the last 3 year in foster care; fortunately he was loved on every chance we got.

Badger
Badger was a sweet little boy who was rescued from a kill only shelter. He was diagnosed with Parvo and everything was done to save him. He won the hearts of everyone around him. It was a sad day when he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Gracie
Gracie was a sweet little girl who had just days before been rescued from a kill shelter. She spent her last two days in her foster home being loved on and sleeping on a bed of soft blankets. Gracie is no longer an unwanted baby!

Chloe
Chloe was a Tabby born 4/8/2003. She spent the first 6 months of her life scrounging for shelter and food. Upon gaining her confidence we were finally able to catch and bring her inside. Since, she had adapted very well although she was still a little shy. She was very playful and did very well with others. Chloe recently had stopped eating. The vet said she most likely had developed cancer and was sent to Rainbow Bridge where she will no longer be in pain or suffer. Chloe will be greatly missed as she was a sweet little girl.
